Urgha Chalets consist of two renovated holiday units in a quiet scenic location but still only two miles from the ferry terminal at Tarbert, Isle of Harris.
Urgha's location, overlooking East Loch Tarbert offers outstanding views of mountain, moorland, loch and sea so typical of this part of Harris. Walking, bird watching and fishing are available right on our doorstep. The North Harris Trust
on whose land Urgha is situated offers much to to encourage these and other pursuits.
Beautiful sandy beaches are also within a short distance.
There is a lockable garage / outhouse on site suitable for storing surfing equipment, fishing gear or bicycles as well as a drying / storage area for outdoor clothing.
On the islands we have a unique culture and language, this is reflected in the way we have named the cottage and chalet. Gaelic is spoken to welcome you. The world famous Harris Tweed takes its name from our island and we have used hand crafted soft furnishings
in Tweed and the wool from which it is woven. ( We are happy to take commissions of any handcrafts on display).
Both Chalets could be rented together but are separate entities and could equally accommodate two separate parties.
Please note that both properties are non smoking and pets are by prior arrangement only.
